Long Beach Lightning Day of Giving

The Long Beach Lightning are proud to partner with Little St. Nick, an incredible organization dedicated to bringing comfort, hope, and joy to children facing medical challenges.
Little St. Nick provides special gift bags to children in hospitals and outpatient facilities, including Ronald McDonald Houses. These gifts are designed to help ease fear and anxiety while reminding children that they are supported and not alone.
On September 20th, the Long Beach Lightning family will come together for a special Day of Giving at the Long Beach Ice Arena. Throughout the day, our players and families will have the opportunity to make a direct impact by volunteering, fundraising, and helping create St. Nick Gift Bags for children in need.
🧸 Kids Inspiring and Helping Kids™
Between games, Long Beach Lightning players will take part in hands-on giving by packing gift bags and creating heartfelt Inspiration Cards for children in the hospital.
Each St. Nick Gift Bag includes:
🧸 A stuffed animal for comfort
🫧 A Pop-It sensory toy
🎨 A coloring book
🖍️ A pack of crayons
❤️ A handmade Inspiration Card
While these may seem like small gifts, they can make a tremendous difference to a child going through a difficult experience.
Our players will have the opportunity to see firsthand how a simple act of kindness can bring a smile to a child who needs it most.
🎯 Our Goal: Raise $50,000
In addition to volunteering, the Long Beach Lightning are working to raise $50,000 for Little St. Nick.
This funding will help provide thousands of St. Nick Gift Bags to children in hospitals and outpatient facilities.
We are asking our Lightning families, friends, and community members to help us reach this important goal.
Every donation makes a difference.
And there’s a little friendly competition involved! The Long Beach Lightning team that raises the most money will receive a special prize.
